EYFS - Early Years Foundation Stage
The Early Years Staff aim to help children reach their early-learning goals so that they are better able to settle into the primary part of the school. The teachers pride themselves in closely observing and learning the interests and needs of each child and using them to further their developmental skills as well as providing a solid educational basis. With bright and airy classrooms, and plenty of room for all the activities your child will be busy with everyday learning. The teachers at Brookfield Primary Academy will teach your child to love learning, and prepare them for a seamless transition into our reception classes.
There are two Nursery sessions each day. The morning session starts at 8.45am and finishes at 11.45am and the afternoon session starts at 12.15pm and finishes at 3.15pm. We also offer 30 hours of free childcare per week for 38 weeks of the year (during school term time) where children start at 8.45 am and finish at 3.15 with the additional fee of £2.50 per day. Each session is led by a fully qualified teacher and teaching assistants.
Here are some of the lovely things our parents say about us:
“My daughter was in Nursery school last year. On return to school after the summer holidays, my daughter was so happy to see them and embraced her teachers with a massive hug. As a parent you want to know that your child is happy, safe and feels comfortable to learn and thrive. This was the reassurance I needed. I was thrilled and relieved when I found out that the same staff would be taking my son this year. I couldn’t think of a better ‘staff duo’ to prepare my son for school. Kindness, patience, passion and commitment oozes from them both.”
